Happy 24th birthday, Adele!

This is a letter from me to you. Never did such a thing before (writing personal stuff on my site) but I feel a need to do so today ‘cos you’re such an amazing person and I do hope you’ll get to read this. I love you so much

For the past few years, you’ve inspired so many people, cured so many lovesick hearts and wrote so many songs touching the hearts of many and allowing others to feel like someone out there DOES know what they’re going through. Thank you for not making lukewarm pop music.

I hope you have a fantastic day and year of you ahead. I promise that Adele Nation will be with you throughout the next few years, to watch your every album, song and video release. I love you, happy 24th birthday.

21 Enters Top 5 Most Sold UK Albums

Adele has overtaken Michael Jackson in the UK’s all-time biggest selling albums list, according to the Official Charts Company.

The singer’s second album ’21′ has now sold 4,274,300 copies in the UK, 500 more than Jackson’s 1982 classic. ’21′ has sold an average of 20,000 copies per week over the last four weeks.

In the 15 months since Adele’s second album was released, it has spent 66 non-consecutive weeks on the Official Albums Chart, with 23 of those at Number 1. It has outsold Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ to become the biggest selling album of the 21st Century.

The Top Five biggest selling albums of all-time have remained the same for some time as no artist has come close to challenging, until now. Queen’s ‘Greatest Hits’ is Number One, with sales of 5.83 million, and ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ by The Beatles fills the Number Two slot with 5.04 million. Abba’s ‘Gold’ is Number Three, ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis is in fourth.

The biggest selling albums of all-time Top 10 now stands as follows:

1. Queen – ‘Greatest Hits’
2. The Beatles – ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’
3. Abba – ‘Gold’
4. Oasis – ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’

Adele Becomes Richest Young British Musician

Singer Adele’s wealth has tripled in the past year to 20 million pounds after huge sales of her album, “21″.

The 23-year-old has risen to the top of the Sunday Times’ Rich List after “21″ sold 20 million copies worldwide, reports thesun.co.uk.

“Adele’s been the success story of the past year by a mile. You only get an Adele once every 10 years. It’s success on a enormous scale,” said Steve Redmond, of the Entertainment Retailers Association.

Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and Katie Melua are all in second place with a fortune of 12 million pounds for each, while Jessie J has made her debut appearance on the list with an impressive 5 million pounds.

She was called ‘too fat’ by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld – and now Adele is shedding the pounds.

The singer and her charity campaigner boyfriend Simon Konecki, 36, have each lost almost a stone in the past month by following a strict vegetarian diet. The couple also go jogging with Adele’s dog Louie every morning.

‘The weight is dropping off them and they plan to keep dieting until the end of April,’ says a friend of the 23-year-old Grammy winner, who lives with Simon in a rented £6million pile in West Sussex.

‘They are inseparable – they are losing weight together, getting fit together and planning a future together.

‘Adele says she’s doing her best work and feels healthier than she has for months.’
